DontHaggle had an existing web app but wanted to add a mobile app to their current product offering. The existing web app had the functionality needed to buy and sell items on the marketplace, but it didn’t offer the best experience on a mobile device.
The goals for this engagement were to:
- Increase buyer and seller trust
- Eliminate friction points that prevented people from buying
- Increase sales through the platform
- Increase user retention
- Create a seamless user experience for mobile users.
Additionally, the mobile app needed to leverage the existing capabilities of the web app to minimize development rework, but offer a robust buying and selling experience for users on-the-go. We started by helping the client identify drop-off points within the onboarding, buying, and selling process. We used what we learned to eliminate the friction points, which will increase user acquisition and retention. The new design creates a faster experience by prioritizing content effectively: a seller can quickly list an item for sale in a matter of minutes, and receive offers on their items anywhere they go.
To increase software development speed and reduce risk, we created a design system that can be used to quickly add components. Using these components consistently throughout both the web and mobile app will allow DontHaggle to reinforce credibility and increase trust for end users, which is important during the buying and selling experience.
