Beach service reservation software
Say goodbye to paper clipboards getting soaked by rain, or blowing away in the gulf breeze, and say hello to digital transparency and operational efficiency. LunarLab partnered with our software development friends at SavvyOtter to design a new tablet app for Perdido Beach Service’s beach attendants.
Beach attendants are in charge of renting beach chairs and umbrellas, tracking available inventory, and taking payments. They also have the laborious job of putting out all of the chair sets each morning and taking them back up at the end of the day.

To make the beach attendant’s job easier, we designed a tablet app to replace their current clipboard setup. The app allows beach attendants to process digital payments, view or update the placements of chair sets along the beach, and communicate real-time payment and inventory data from all 40+ rental locations back to the home office. This helps the central office not only have a better understanding of their financials every day but also provides transparency into when staffing adjustments need to be done if one property rents more equipment than expected.
Beach attendants can:
- Accept payment
- Track and update rental inventory
- Visualize & update the placement of chair sets along the beachfront property using Zones. (Beach attendants earn tips, so they must build good relationships with their customers by learning their names, where they prefer to sit each day, etc.)
