Tag! is a fundraising platform that helps high school teams connect with the people and businesses that want to support them. The platform serves several audiences at once: teams working toward fundraising goals, coaches managing campaigns, and community sponsors deciding where to invest their support.
Tag! partnered with LunarLab to redesign three key parts of the experience: the public-facing team page, the coach experience, and the sponsor experience. Our goal was to create a more engaging and cohesive product that made fundraising progress easier to understand, gave teams more room to tell their stories, and created a clearer path for businesses to become sponsors.
Fundraising platforms have to work for more than one audience. Teams need to inspire support. Coaches need to understand progress and manage the fundraiser. Sponsors need enough information and confidence to take action.
Tag!’s existing experience contained the necessary information, but there was an opportunity to improve its hierarchy, visual energy, and ability to guide each audience toward the next step. Important fundraising metrics were not always prominent, the pages did not fully reflect the personality of the Tag! brand, and the sponsor journey needed a stronger path to conversion.
Rather than treating the three pages as isolated redesigns, we approached them as parts of one connected fundraising ecosystem. Decisions made for one audience needed to support the others—and ultimately help teams build stronger relationships with their communities.
We began with a UX audit to identify usability issues, gaps in the visual hierarchy, and opportunities to make the experience more persuasive. We then facilitated a stakeholder workshop to align the Tag! team around its business goals, user needs, and priorities for the redesign.
This collaborative work helped establish a clear design direction:
Bring more of Tag!’s colorful brand personality into the product
Make team and sponsor performance metrics easier to find and understand
Create more engaging ways for teams to communicate their stories
Give coaches a clearer view of the information needed to manage fundraising
Reduce friction in the sponsor journey and make the value of sponsorship more visible
With those priorities established, we mapped user flows for the team, coach, and sponsor experiences before moving into high-fidelity UI design.
The redesigned team page gives supporters a clearer, more engaging view of the fundraiser. Stronger visual hierarchy brings the team’s identity, fundraising goal, progress, story, and updates forward, helping visitors quickly understand who they are supporting and why their contribution matters.
We also incorporated more of Tag!’s colorful branding throughout the experience. The result is designed to feel energetic and community-driven while keeping donation and sponsorship actions easy to identify.
Fundraising metrics received special attention. By making progress and goals more visible, the page can communicate momentum at a glance and give supporters a clearer reason to participate.
Coaches are responsible for keeping fundraising efforts moving while also managing the day-to-day demands of leading a team. Their experience needed to make important information easier to scan and act on.
We reorganized the coach page around the metrics and campaign details most useful for monitoring performance. Clearer hierarchy helps coaches assess progress, identify where attention may be needed, and understand the state of the fundraiser without digging through the interface.
The updated experience is designed to make campaign management feel more focused and manageable, giving coaches better visibility while keeping the interface approachable.
For community businesses, sponsorship is both a way to support local teams and an opportunity to demonstrate that support publicly. The sponsor experience needed to communicate that value clearly and make the next step feel straightforward.
We redesigned the sponsor journey to better explain sponsorship opportunities, showcase sponsor visibility, and emphasize the information businesses need when deciding to participate. Calls to action and supporting content were given greater prominence, creating a clearer path from learning about a team to becoming a sponsor.
Sponsor metrics were also elevated so businesses can more readily understand the reach and value associated with their support. Together, these changes are designed to build confidence, reduce uncertainty, and improve sponsor conversion.
The redesigned Tag! experience is currently in development. Although post-launch results are not yet available, the new designs give Tag! a more cohesive and engaging foundation across its team, coach, and sponsor experiences.
By clarifying fundraising progress, strengthening the sponsor journey, and bringing more energy from the Tag! brand into the product, the redesign is positioned to help teams communicate their needs more effectively, help coaches manage campaigns with greater clarity, and make it easier for community businesses to offer their support.
