We’ve been big fans of Robin Hunt, Daniel Bishop and the ThinkData team for years, so we were delighted when she asked us to help redesign their site.

Discovery
During our Design and Product Strategy workshop, we identified the following top priorities for the new site:
- increase lead generation through the site
- build confidence in the people who visit
- better explain the work they do to every day people
- make it easier to navigate
- make it something ThinkData can be proud of
With our objectives clearly outlined, we started with an audit of the existing site to better understand what content exists on the site, and what was missing. We noticed a few elements missing from the current site that are considered best practices:
- testimonials, which help increase confidence in site visitors
- client logos, which helps build legitimacy
- a clear delineation in the types of services offered and why someone might need them
- a way to learn more about the ThinkData team, which helps build trust
Design
Robin, Daniel & their team mentioned there wasn’t a whole lot about their site that they were happy with currently, so the design direction was wide open. We initially explored a few different directions before landing on the final version, which utilizes a dark theme with mesh gradient accents in the buttons and other UI elements. We created a whole new palette of colors that better represent their brand and the quality of work they do. We also worked diligently on improving the flow of information across the site to make it easier for prospective clients to get the information they need.
